It’s been a minute, but DDS has returned and Dyed Soundorom steps up once again to bless the label with a classy two-tracker. This double-header was crafted in the Frenchman’s Lisbon lab.
On side A we have ‘Tantrax’, featuring a typically contagious low end – languid and oh-so-groovy in typical Dyed style. Crisp beats propel the track forward, while a variety of peculiar sounds and effects give this one its unique flavour.
Flip the record over and we have side B, ‘Conxandinote’. Mysterious warped layers of synth glide over a morose b-line and detuned organ keys. Wait for the drums and claps to kick in, bringing a lively energy to the moody atmospherics. Dyed creates a perfect balance between the eerie FX and energising percussion.
