Description
After a couple of releases from Wedding Acid Group on Undersound, we are happy to welcome J. Mono, one of their founding members. While certain traits of the tracks are in typical WAG style, the EP oozes with personal touches from the experienced Hungarian producer. The record opens with a live jam from 2012 recorded straight onto cassette, where a combination of analogue and FM synths on trademark 606 drums create a sweet and melancholic mood. The remaining tracks are from 2020, with ‘M.aus’ and ‘Acid_e’ presenting a steadier side to the artists sound with 909 rhythms driving acidic basslines and overtones. ‘Izolal’ closes the EP, with rumbling basslines and interchanging sharp emotional leads, making it one of our recent favourites.
